Otto Peltzer races.

New Delhi, 13/10/2007

Legs wanted is the theme of Otto Peltzer races which have now restarted and are held on the second saturday of every month at the Nehru Park, Chankya Puri. The races are held in 4 categories — Girls, Boys, Women, and Men. The races are sponsored by addidas and the distance is 5.6 Kms. I participated in this month’s race and hope to participate regularly from now on. The race is the oldest race and was being held in Delhi since 1950’s on every weekend till 2005, when it was called off due to lack of sponsorship. It got its name from the legendary German middle distance runner who set world records in 1920’s.
